Nicky is a first-generation Filipino American, born and raised in Canada, now living and working in Detroit. With 15+ years of experience in advertising and marketing, she brings a perspective shaped by navigating multiple cultures, disciplines, and creative environments.

Her background includes formal training in Graphic Design at the College for Creative Studies and Information & Media Studies at Western University (UWO). She began her career as an Interaction Designer at Organic where she built a strong foundation in craft, systems thinking, and collaboration.

Currently, Nicky is a Creative Director at McCann, where she leads brand and experience-led work, contributes to new business pitches and account wins for the Detroit office, and partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver thoughtful, human-centered solutions.

When she’s not pushing pixels or pitching ideas, you can find her at the gym chasing gains, eating a lot of good food, traveling to taste more good food, or tending to her ever-growing plant collection. She lives on Detroit’s east side with her partner Kikko, daughter Maya, and their chocolate lab Topo.
